Traditionally, the weakness of the sword is it's limited range when put against long distance opponents. From the moment Talos was designed to carry a sword, it was planned to address this weakness first and foremost, and the greatest means Talos employs to overcome this issue is the Super Plasma Cannon mounted within the frame of the sword itself. The mighty blade is able to split along it's length, allowing for the poweful plasma chargers to work in unison with the rail gun rods lining the inside length of the blade. The end result, a massive cannon capable of firing searing plasma beams at speeds approaching that of light. Any adversary foolish enough to believe they can escape the threat of Talos' all powerful sword simply by maintaining their distance is in for a rude awakening indeed.

I like the model and it's movements but I gotta say that the Plasma ray looks very cheap compared to the rest of the model for some reason.. I like the mechanism of the sword though and the way you designed that plasma ray to compensate for swords weaknesses :)

It's harder for the modeller to render sprite effects like beams and fire, so you're on the money there. Glad you like it overall though, and thanks for commenting!

I've been struggling with "special effects" lately so I know how hard it is and that's why I paid attention to it. Keep up the good work :)
